EVERY PORTRAIT TELLS A STORY
ROSE / Acrylic on canvas. Size: 60×70 cm
Rósa was shy, but she was still determined to meet him at the village café. She stood for a while outside the door and looked in through the window. Inside, the lights were dim, people were talking softly, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.
Her heart beat a little faster than usual. She tied her scarf tighter on her head, took a deep breath, and gently pushed the door open. The little bell above the door jingled.
He was sitting at a table near the window. When he saw her, he smiled warmly, as if he had been waiting for her for a long time.
Rose walked slowly across the floor. She was still shy, but for the moment she also felt a little brave. Maybe this was the beginning of something new—something she had never dared to do before.
"Hi, Rose," he said softly.
She sat down and smiled slightly.
"Hi.. she replied.
For a moment they said nothing. But the silence was not uncomfortable. Outside the window, soft snowflakes fell over the small village, and inside the café the world seemed a little slower and warmer. END
